We gave him IsaacIshaq and JacobYaqub: all (three) guided: and before him, We guided NoahNuh, and among his progeny, DavidDawud, SolomonSulayman, JobAyyub, JosephYusuf, MosesMusa, and AaronHarun: thus do We reward those who do good:
And his wife was standing (there), and she laughed: But we gave her glad tidings of IsaacIshaq, and after him, of JacobYaqub.
When he had turned away from them and from those whom they worshipped besides Allah, We bestowed on him IsaacIshaq and JacobYaqub, and each one of them We made a prophet.
And We bestowed on him IsaacIshaq and, as an additional gift, (a grandson), JacobYaqub, and We made righteous men of every one (of them).
And We gave (AbrahamIbrahim) IsaacIshaq and JacobYaqub, and ordained among his progeny Prophethood and Revelation, and We granted him his reward in this life; and he was in the Hereafter (of the company) of the Righteous.
We blessed him and IsaacIshaq: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls.

The Prophet (ﷺ) used to seek Refuge with Allah for Al-Hasan and Al-Husain and say: "Your forefather (i.e. Abraham) used to seek Refuge with Allah for Ishmael and Isaac by reciting the following: 'O Allah! I seek Refuge with Your Perfect Words from every devil and from poisonous pests and from every evil, harmful, envious eye.' "
