Occurrences in the Quran
They followed what the evil ones gave out (falsely) against the power of SolomonSulayman: the blasphemers Were, not SolomonSulayman, but the evil ones, teaching men Magic, and such things as came down at Babylon to the angels Harut and Marut. But neither of these taught anyone (Such things) without saying: "We are only for trial; so do not blaspheme." They learned from them the means to sow discord between man and wife. But they could not thus harm anyone except by Allah's permission. And they learned what harmed them, not what profited them. And they knew that the buyers of (magic) would have no share in the happiness of the Hereafter. And vile was the price for which they did sell their souls, if they but knew!
To SolomonSulayman We inspired the (right) understanding of the matter: to each (of them) We gave Judgment and Knowledge; it was Our power that made the hills and the birds celebrate Our praises, with DavidDawud: it was We Who did (all these things).
And SolomonSulayman was DavidDawud's heir. He said: "O ye people! We have been taught the speech of birds, and on us has been bestowed (a little) of all things: this is indeed Grace manifest (from Allah.)"
At length, when they came to a (lowly) valley of ants, one of the ants said: "O ye ants, get into your habitations, lest SolomonSulayman and his hosts crush you (under foot) without knowing it."
"It is from SolomonSulayman, and is (as follows): 'In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful:'"
Now when (the embassy) came to SolomonSulayman, he said: "Will ye give me abundance in wealth? But that which Allah has given me is better than that which He has given you! Nay it is ye who rejoice in your gift!"
She was asked to enter the lofty Palace: but when she saw it, she thought it was a lake of water, and she (tucked up her skirts), uncovering her legs. He said: "This is but a palace paved smooth with slabs of glass." She said: "O my Lord! I have indeed wronged my soul: I do (now) submit (in Islam), with SolomonSulayman, to the Lord of the Worlds."
To DavidDawud We gave SolomonSulayman (for a son),- How excellent in Our service! Ever did he turn (to Us)!
And We did try SolomonSulayman: We placed on his throne a body (without life); but he did turn (to Us in true devotion):
